Where dental practices sit in the city
San Francisco dentistry fills medical office buildings, upper floors of downtown towers and ground-floor storefronts on neighborhood commercial streets. General practices share the map with orthodontists, pediatric dentists, oral surgeons and periodontists, and most of them work inside someone else’s building, with a lobby, an elevator and a freight entrance governed by building management. Storefront practices also take in sidewalk grit with every arrival, so the entry floor and mat get extra time.
San Francisco Cleaning Co plans the route through the building and into the suite along with the cleaning itself, so the crew arrives through the right door, at the right hour, with the right keys or codes, and leaves the suite locked and ready for the morning huddle.
Operatories after the final patient
Your practice decides which operatory surfaces belong to the clinical team and which belong to the nightly crew, and that split goes into writing before the first visit. Within it, the crew handles counters, cabinet doors and drawer pulls, the hand sink, the chair base and operator stools, the wall behind the delivery unit, and the chairside floor out to the baseboards.
Terminal cleaning can be booked for any operatory on the dates you choose, for example ahead of an inspection or after a room comes back from repair. The crew then works through the full room in the sequence your protocol sets out.
Sterilization, lab and imaging rooms
By evening, the sterilization area’s counters, sinks and floor carry a full clinic day of use. Crews clean the surfaces your protocol assigns, keep the dirty-to-clean flow of the room in mind when they wipe, and mop the floor last. In-house lab corners get benches and floors cleaned, and imaging rooms get the floor, door handles and the counters your team lists.
The crew works with EPA-registered disinfectants only and gives each its label dwell time, staying wet on the surface for the full period the manufacturer prints before it is wiped. If your protocol names specific products, those are what the crew reaches for.
Reception, consult rooms and the patient restroom
The reception area is the first thing a nervous patient studies. Seating, side tables, the check-in counter, the pen cup and card reader, the glass at the front door and the floor are cleaned each visit, and the children’s corner in a pediatric office gets its table and play surfaces wiped down. Consult rooms are dusted and vacuumed with chairs set back in place, and the water station or tea counter some practices keep in reception is wiped and its drip tray emptied.
Crews scrub the patient restroom and restock its paper, soap and liners using supplies we bring or the ones in your closet. Staff rooms, the doctor’s office and the business office are cleaned around the paperwork left on desks.
Privacy and the people in your suite
Our crews come to a clinical suite already trained in bloodborne-pathogen safety. In your office they practice HIPAA-aware conduct, which means charts, appointment books, treatment plans and imaging screens are neither read nor shifted. Everyone who enters the suite on our behalf is background-checked.
On a set cycle, a supervisor does a quality inspection and reports the results to your office manager, so details such as the floor under an operator stool or a smudged sterilization window are caught early.
Floors, carpet and a newly built suite
Operatory and corridor floors in sheet vinyl or resilient tile can be machine-scrubbed or stripped and recoated through commercial floor care, and a carpeted reception room can be extracted with hot water over a weekend through commercial carpet cleaning. A practice opening a freshly built suite can start with post-construction cleaning, which removes drywall dust from cabinet interiors, ledges and vents before equipment is installed.
What sets the cost for a dental suite
Price depends on your operatory count, how much sterilization and lab space you have, how many restrooms the suite has, your clinic days, Saturday hours included, and the floor work you add. Multi-specialty clinics that also run medical exam rooms can pair this with medical facility cleaning.
Our supervisor visits with your office manager to review the protocol and the split of duties in each operatory, then prepares a written quote broken out room by room. Book that visit through our quote request form.
A few useful answers
Common questions.
Who cleans the dental chairs, our assistants or your crew?
Your protocol sets the split. The nightly crew cleans every surface the protocol gives to us, and the chair base and the floor around it are covered on each visit.
Can a practice with Saturday hours get a weekend visit?
Yes. Pick the days and start times, and the crew starts after the final appointment of the day.
How is patient privacy protected while the crew is in the office?
Crews follow HIPAA-aware conduct: charts, schedules and imaging screens stay exactly as your staff left them.
Can terminal cleaning be scheduled for an operatory?
Yes. Book the dates you need, and the crew covers the whole room following your written protocol.
We are opening a newly built suite. Can you clean it before equipment goes in?
Yes. Post-construction cleaning lifts the build-out dust off cabinets, ledges, vents and floors before installers arrive.
